Lazy Sunday

It has been a lazy Sunday today. Everyone was out so I was left to watch the house and "keep the burglars out". I don't know what burglars are but I'm not worried because no-one comes and I get my treat.

Running with friends

I was beginning to think everyone had forgotten that they have an important job to do - taking me out for a walk...

It has been days since I was last taken out but finally Dad was home long enough to do it. We went down to Linear Reserve after dinner. I was enjoying myself in my favorite haunt having a good sniff around when along came three friends - one Border Collie and two Aussie Shepherds. After an introductory sniff, they were on their way but I was stuck behind still on my lead.

When they had got a little way ahead, Dad finally let me off the lead. "Don't run after them" he said. Huh! I was off, running with friends. Very pleasant! Mind you, it wasn't that easy to keep up, my legs weren't as long as theirs.

We said our farewells at the end of the park and I puffed my way home for a big drink and sleep to recover.

Miss Joey has come home

My Miss Joey had run away and I had been a bit sad BUT good news, she came back home today. She was very tired and spent nearly all day in bed asleep. It was my job to stand guard. What was I to do?

Yeah, you guessed it. Up on the bed and snuggling up beside her. And there is no truth in the rumor that I was asleep too.

...well perhaps I did sleep just a little.

...OK, so you don't believe me. Yes, I was out like a light too. It is nice to have Miss Joey home.

Dog Central

What a really great way to finish off a lazy Saturday afternoon! Went for a "before dinner" stroll down to Linear Reserve. When we got the the official "off-lead area", it was Dog Central. There were 9 of us wandering around, sniffing, chatting and generally having a great time.

Three silly dogs were running around chasing balls. Never seen the point in it myself. A human throws a ball away so you chase after it and get the ball. Then they change their mind and say they want the ball back but no sooner that they get it back, they throw it away again. I wish they would make up their mind, they either want the ball or they don't...

Oh well, that's enough from me for now. Time to find dinner.

Been for a Walk

I have been for a walk this morning. Off-lead in Linear Reserve - a great place for a stroll. It can be a bit of a lottery but it was good value today - met 3 other dogs.

It's warming up a bit so I think it's time to go and have another sleep.
